Windy Peak Outdoor Education Lab Project

Overview of Scope of Work for Windy Peak Outdoor Educational Lab School Jefferson County Public Schools 2007-2008 Improvements

Sewer Improvements:

  1. Installation of a 15,000 gallon precast concrete tank
  2. Installation of manhole dosing station with pump.
  3. Installation of manhole with two-inch flow meter
  4. Installation of seven leach fields for 10,468 SF total of drain field area.
  5. Installation of 3,500 lf of three-inch HDPE (High Density Polyethylene) sewer service line with four cleanout manholes.

Water System Improvements:

  1. Excavation, compaction and preparation of tank hole for 60,000 gallon cast-in-place potable water storage tank.
  2. Installation of all new water main transmission lines and service lines.
  3. Removal and discontinue old water storage tanks and system.
  4. Infiltration gallery well:
  • Installation of 24.6' X 6' precast manhole for gallery well with aluminum Bilco hatch.
  • Installation of Grundfos 1.5 Hp pump on gallery.
  • Installation of 1,200 Lf of 2" Hope water service line
  • Installation of stainless steel Johnson screen inlet line for well bedded in clean aggregates with PVC liner in trench
